Instead of positioning kombucha as a drink for yoga lovers, we looked to introduce Læsk as an ideal alternative to alcohol, sugary sodas and juices.
LÆSK is the story of friendship and culinary curiosity. Line Hoff and Eric Sponseller met over a mutual love for kombucha and a dream of brewing their own. So in 2016, they teamed up on a mission to introduce the Danish people to the fermented tea – and change the soft drink industry for good.
LÆSK is Danish for quench, but each LÆSK product is intended for more than just quenching your thirst. Line and Eric want to stir your curiosity, and each of their varieties is an opportunity to experience the world through your taste buds.
CONTEXT
Two friends set out to change the soft drink industry for good. The mission was simple: Say NO to overly sugary drinks, and YES to the healthier thirst-quenching kombucha.
As a small Danish fish, they needed their soft drink brand LÆSK to stand out and take on the red ocean of soft drinks.
CHALLENGE
In its early days LÆSK was in need of a playing ground to do test batches, product developments and initial production. As we allocated the team excess square meters in our property portfolio we witnessed the drive and determination of Line and Eric firsthand; yet, as the business quickly got tracktion the founders’ team faced new challenges needing board capabilities, venture capital, and feedback to its future business plan.

We have followed and supported LÆSK from early stage, and gradually increased our engagement:

Backed the company with venture capital in early stage, and during its growth stage too
Resource commitments in the form of board services and founder mentoring
